  • -  三十二冊兩木匣. Thirty-two volumes in two cases.
  • -  九行二十字, Nine lines, with twenty characters per line.
  • -  The first item in the guide implies that it was composed on a certain date in order to override the opinions of Taoist scholars. The sentence 'yi jian sheng ren jiang tian zhi ben yi' may indicate a conflict between Roman Catholics and Daoists over the elimination of superstition.
  • -  清高宗敕撰。按是書從未付梓,此本有凡例,無序跋。陶湘內府寫本書目云:「天文正義八十卷,乾隆敕纂,寫本,三十四冊」,彼本或有乾隆御製序文。凡例第一條云:「天文有變則占,而日月交食,五星凌犯,皆有常度。明其常度,則不感於術士禍福之妄言,而益見聖人敬天之木意。占家不言推步,義有闕焉。故著天體至交食凌犯十篇,冠於首。」則其纂輯之意,欲用天算推步,以破術士家言。又「益見聖人敬天之本意」一語,頗疑是書出於天主教士之手,欲用科學以,破迷信也。其纂成未經公佈,未經發刊之故,疑亦有天教與術士爭囗,存於其間。康雍之間,天主教士纂修曆象孜成,術家實反對之,因有協紀辨方書之纂修,蓋是書,又協紀辨方書纂成後之一反應也.
